Fresh N Lean Meals Reviews
Fresh n’ Lean is a healthy prepared meal delivery service. They offer 5 subscription plans, Protein+, Keto, Paleo, Vegan Standard, and Vegan Low Carb, as well as the ability to order items in Bulk and A La Carte.
All meals include fresh, organic ingredients, made by trained chefs and delivered to your door each week or whenever you choose. Meals are never fried and are nutritionally balanced and packed with protein to help fuel your day. Fresh n’ Lean meals can be stored in the refrigerator or freezer and heated in the microwave in minutes.
When you receive your delivery place meals in the refrigerate as soon as you can. Meals will stay fresh in the fridge until the date listed on the package, which is around 7-10 days. Fresh n’ Lean does say that you can freeze your meals, but they recommend eating them fresh for the best taste.
If you do choose to freeze your meals, they will keep for 6-8 weeks, and you should let them thaw in the refrigerator for 24-36 hours before eating.
The Protein+ Meal Plan includes meals that contain high-quality animal protein, organic vegetables, and whole grains. These meals are dairy-free and gluten-free. More information including macros/nutrients, ingredients, and how each meal tasted is below. Sign Up and Get $20 OFF >>
Salsa Verde Sustainable Salmon Casserole With Rice And Beans
This was one of our favorite meals! The salmon did not dry out in the microwave and we loved the salsa verde seasonings paired with rice, beans, bell peppers, and onions.
This meal was another one of my favorites. I loved the juicy protein-packed chicken paired with the sesame and garlic bok choy, broccoli, peppers, and onions. The rice was a nice addition (for someone like me who loves carbs). A quick, healthy, and filling weekday lunch.
Roasted Chicken Thigh with Sumac Carrots and Chickpeas
The roasted chicken thighs stayed moist in the microwave and had a nice flavor due to all of the warm spices. The chickpeas and carrots were on the firm side, but not unpleasant and definitely better than mushy. For me, the dish needed a little salt and pepper to bring out all of the flavors.
Garlic Confit With Garbanzo Beans And Sustainable Shrimp
This dish was very tasty. We loved the garlic sauce with tomatoes. The shrimp did not turn rubbery in the microwave which can happen if you overcook them. The chickpeas, like in other dishes, were harder than expected, but still tasted good. I’d rather have chickpeas that are a little on the hard side than mushy.
This breakfast was our least favorite of the meals we received. It was low-calorie, but the dish lacked flavor overall and the texture of the turkey bacon was rubbery.
Scrambled eggs with potatoes is a simple, classic breakfast. To our surprise, the potatoes, which look like white potatoes, were actually sweet potatoes. I prefer white potatoes, but understand the health benefits of sweet potatoes and ate them up just the same.
This breakfast was just ok. It was packed with protein, but lacked flavor and was one of our least favorite meals.

Fresh N Lean Reviews: Meal Plans & Menus
Fresh n’ Lean currently offers five different subscription meal plans including Protein+, Keto, Paleo, Vegan Standard, Whole30, Mediterranean, and Vegan Low Carb. Meals from each plan are available with a subscription or you can order a la carte. When you order a la carte some meal plans are not available, though.
Fresh n’ Lean meals include locally-grown, organic, whole-food, nutrient-dense ingredients. All meals are free from processed and artificial ingredients, gluten and GMO-free, with a majority of meals free from dairy and soy. When animal products are used, Fresh n’ Lean only uses antibiotic and hormone-free humanely raised grass-fed meat, free-range poultry, and sustainable fish.
Have an allergy? During Step 3 of the checkout process, you will be able to select your allergies and the ingredients that you would like excluded. We recommend contacting Fresh n’ Lean directly with any severe allergies.
When you subscribe to Fresh n’ Lean you are NOT able to select your meals for the week, only your plan and any ingredients that you would like excluded. If you are a picky eater this could be a drawback. We recommend excluding ingredients that you don’t like so that you are more likely to get meals that you will enjoy eating. Get 15% OFF >>

Fresh N Lean Meals Reviews: Bottom Line
Fresh n’ Lean delivers on its promise of healthy, prepared meals for various diets free from processed and artificial ingredients. All of our lunches/dinners from the Protein+ menu were tasty with the Salsa Verde Salmon and the Sesame Chicken with Bok Choy standing out as our favorites.
The breakfasts had to be our least favorite as most were too plain and lacked flavor. These fresh, prepared meals all stayed fresh in the refrigerator for a good 7 days and heated up in around 3 minutes in the microwave.
The only drawbacks to Fresh n’ Lean that we could see were in their ordering process. When you subscribe, you can not select the meals you want each week and can not select meals across meal plans. Instead, you can exclude items, not meals, that you don’t like and Fresh n’ Lean will work to accommodate your requests based on their current menu options.
Compared to other fresh, prepared meals that we have tasted Fresh n’ Lean lunches and dinners are very tasty and can fit into a number of different diets. Priced between $8-$11 per meal, Fresh n’ Lean is in line with most other prepared meal delivery services.
