Unlike the traditional meal kits that have been around for years and require a lot of prep, chopping, and cooking, Georgie & Tom’s meals require little to no prep work (i.e. no chopping, mixing, or prepping) and can be made in 10 minutes or less in the microwave, stovetop, or oven.
These high-quality meal kits contain premium proteins, lots of veggies, and fewer carbs compared to other meal kit companies we’ve reviewed.
We tried several meals for our Georgie & Tom’s meal reviews including the Sesame Tuna, Cod, Chorizo & Chickpea, Steak Chimichurri, and Thai Steamed Cod.

Sesame Tuna Meal
The Georgie & Tom’s Sesame Tuna meal, which was a salad, was light, fresh, and full of flavor.
We love that Georgie & Tom’s offers a dinner salad with a premium protein as most meal kits do not have a gourmet salad option on the menu.
This meal came together in around 7 minutes. All we had to do was coat the tuna and sear it on the stove. Then we added the extras to the salad along with the dressing and topped it with sliced tuna.
The portion size was large compared to most meal kits.
We were impressed by the quality and the portion size of the wild line caught sushi-grade yellowfin tuna. I don’t know of any meal kits that feature a meal with a protein of this quality. SHOP NOW >>
Cod, Chorizo & Chickpea Meal
Like the Sesame Tuna, the Cod, Chorizo & Chickpea meal was wonderful.
The wild Alaskan cod, which is line-caught and MSC certified, was fresh and the portion size was good.
The meal was easy to make on the stovetop and in the microwave and came together in less than 10 minutes.
We really enjoyed the crunchy chorizo and the premade smoky tomato sauce was filled with even more veggies.
This meal was filling and tasted very healthy as it was not weighed down by lots of carbs. SHOP NOW >>
Steak Chimichurri Meal
The Steak Chimichurri meal was delightful.
To our surprise, the sirloin steak was all-natural USDA Prime from the Midwest United States. Most meal kits include Choice Steak with Prime Steak as a Premium Swap. At this price point, it’s nice to see quality meat (and seafood) included in the meal kits.
For us, the chimichurri sauce was the star of this dish and it came with plenty to drizzle over the steak, beans, and sweet potato mash.
This meal, like the others, came together on the stovetop and microwave in under 10 minutes.

Thai Steamed Cod Meal
The Thai Steamed Cod was our favorite meal in the box.
The wild Alaskan cod, which is line-caught and MSC certified, was fresh and the portion size was larger than most meal kits.
The whole dish was made in the microwave (see our tasting video to watch all of the steps). The cod steamed perfectly and the veggies were firm/tender.
The Thai soy dressing was the star of this dish and really brought the fish, noodles, and veggies all together.

Yes! Compared to traditional meal kits that require 10+ minutes of prep and can take up to 40 minutes to prepare, Georgie & Tom’s meals require little to no prep and can be made in less than 10 min.
In addition, all Georgie & Tom’s meals come with free shipping and they have a 2 meal (2 recipes for 2 people) minimum. Most meal kits charge extra for shipping and have a 6 meal / 3 recipes for 2 people minimum.
We also found Georgie & Tom’s meals to be healthier, include premium proteins, have more interesting flavors, and have larger portions than other meal kit companies.
If you are on a budget and live outside the Georgie & Tom’s delivery area they may not work for you as meals are on the higher end of the price range and they only deliver to the North East at the time of this posting.
Martha Stewart & Marley Spoon Review
Georgie & Tom’s delivers freshly made, hand-crafted meals made in small batches directly to your door. All Georgie & Tom’s meals require little prep and can be prepared in just 5 to 10 min.
We love that Georgie & Tom’s uses high-quality ingredients including premium meat and seafood and has a very large weekly menu with filters for a variety of diets, lifestyles, and allergies.
We also love that Georgie & Tom’s meals are a cross between a prepared meal and a meal kit, requiring minimal prep time, and can be made in less than 10 min.
We found Georgie & Tom’s meals to have great flavor, with very larger portions, and quality ingredients that just taste better. And with fewer low-quality “filler” ingredients like pasta and rice, these meals not only tasted better than a lot of meal kits, but they were healthier.
And while we loved the taste and quick cook time, Georgie & Tom’s meals are slightly more expensive than most meal kits at $15.50 per serving and they only have a 2-serving option, which is not ideal for larger families.
In addition, they only currently deliver to around 11 states in the North East.
I recommend Georgie & Tom’s to singles and couples looking for restaurant-quality meal kits that require little prep, to those looking for an elevated meal at home without all of the pots and pans, and to those looking for a healthier alternative to taking out. SHOP NOW >>
