These prepared meals are super convenient and heat up in just 1-5 minutes in the microwave.
For our ModifyHealth food delivery reviews, we received 6 prepared meals from the Mediterranean meal plan including the Shrimp Pasta with Tomato & Herbs, Shrimp Chimichurri with Black Beans & Rice, Roasted Pistachio Salmon with White Beans & Kale, Rosemary Chicken & Quinoa with Broccoli, Blackened Salmon with Quinoa, Broccoli & Red Bell Pepper, and Lemon Thyme Chicken with Tahini Cauliflower and Za’atar Quinoa.
Our ModifyHealth meals arrived frozen and they recommend storing them in the refrigerator for up to 7-10 days or in the freezer for up to 6-8 weeks if you won’t be able to finish them in the next week or so.
Overall, the Mediterranean meals from ModifyHealth were tasty and convenient. All meals were around 11oz or 350g, between 300-500 calories, and were the perfect size for lunch or a light dinner. If you have a larger appetite you may need to supplement these meals.
Our favorite meals were the Shrimp Chimichurri with Black Beans & Rice, Roasted Pistachio Salmon with White Beans & Kale, and the Shrimp Pasta with Tomato & Herbs.
I especially loved the Shrimp Chimichurri with Black Beans & Rice meal. Shrimp can sometimes become tough and rubbery in the microwave, but if you cook for the least amount of time until just warmed through it should be ok.
The shrimp in this shrimp dish, as well as the Shrimp Pasta with Tomato & Herbs, turned out perfect and not rubbery when using this method.
Some of the meals needed a little salt and pepper to suit my tastes and I would’ve loved more sauce to add a little bit more flavor to the meals.
This was especially true of the Lemon Thyme Chicken with Tahini Cauliflower and Za’atar Quinoa and the Rosemary Chicken & Quinoa with Broccoli, which both tasted ok, they just needed some spices to bring them to the next level.

The ModifyHealth Mediterranean diet meals and program are ideal for those suffering from Diabetes, NAFLD/NASH – Fatty Liver Disease, and Celiac Disease as well as those looking to improve their general health. In addition, the Mediterranean diet can be used as a weight loss program as well.
The Mediterranean Diet Menu by ModifyHealth includes a mix of vegetarian and pescatarian meals packed with vegetables, beans, nuts, and whole grains. Meals do not contain gluten and are not low-FODMAP.
ModifyHealth Food Delivery Reviews: Low FODMAP Diet Plan
FODMAP is short for Fermentable, Oligosaccharides, Disaccharides, Monosaccharides And Polyols. These short-chain carbohydrates are found in many foods, like garlic and apples, and can be hard for some people to digest leading to abdominal pain, gas, constipation, or diarrhea, and can trigger symptoms in people with IBS.
ModifyHealth recommends their low-FODMAP diet and meals for those with IBS – Irritable Bowel Syndrome, SIBO – Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth, IBD – Inflammatory Bowel Disease (Crohn’s Disease/Ulcerative Colitis), Celiac Disease (gluten-free), and Functional gut disorders.
A low-FODMAP diet can help eliminate digestive symptoms, but don’t worry you most likely won’t have to stop eating everything you love. The good news is that most people are not sensitive to all foods in all categories of FODMAP’s and why it’s important to identify your specific trigger foods through an elimination and reintroduction plan or program.
This is why ModifyHealth has an 8-week low FODMAP elimination (2-weeks) and reintroduction (6-weeks) protocol under the guidance of a dietitian that will allow you to identify which FODMAPs are your biggest triggers.
ModifyHealth is the first and only nationwide meal delivery service to have received the Monash University Low FODMAP Certification giving patients assurance that their meals meet specific guidelines to help make the FODMAP journey a success.
ModifyHealth helps you achieve better health through food by delivering fully prepared, organic, and gluten-free Low-FODMAP and Mediterranean meals directly to your door with optional support from an expert dietitian.
We enjoyed the Mediterranean diet meals that we tried from ModifyHealth and love that they have been developed by a dietitian ensuring that we are truly following the Mediterranean diet and getting the nutrition we need.
We did have to add a little salt and pepper to half of the meals that we received to suit our tastes and some were more filling than others. If you have a big appetite or are on a higher calorie diet, you may need to supplement these meals or eat them for lunch vs dinner.
We also love that the optional dietitian support is fairly priced at $99 for 3 sessions and includes educational materials, on-demand support, and more.
And while we didn’t get to try the low-FODMAP meals, both the 8-week program and Monash Certified meals are very reasonably priced. And ModifyHealth offers low-FODMAP breakfast options so that you can easily stick to a low-FODMAP diet all day.
Compared to other low-FODMAP prepared meal food services, ModifyHealth is less expensive than most.
We would recommend ModifyHealth to those that are battling chronic conditions like IBS, Type 2 Diabetes, Heart Disease, and those looking to better their overall health with nutritionally tailored meals and dietitian coaching.
