Gobble Lean & Clean Meals Review
Have you tried the new Lean & Clean low-calorie meals from Gobble? Here’s the scoop.
Lean & Clean meals are the newest addition to the Gobble menu. They feature low-calorie, low-carb recipes to help you stay on track and eat right.
Each of the 4 weekly recipes features high-quality ingredients like lean proteins, healthy fats, low carbohydrates, and under 600 calories per serving. I know what you’re thinking, but how do they taste? We gave them a try.
Seared-Salmon with Balsamic Glazed Brussels Sprouts & Garlic
The balsamic glazed brussels sprouts with shallots and garlic recipe was so simple yet so tasty. We will be using the balsamic glaze, which is only balsamic vinegar and honey, on brussels sprouts in the future. The salmon that accompanied the brussels was a little plain and could use more seasoning or a sauce.
Overall, this no-frills dish was tasty and healthy, and our favorite of the 3 that we tried.
Creole Shrimp with Maque Choux Vegetable Saute
Next up, the Creole Shrimp was delicious, we couldn’t believe that it was less than 400 calories per serving. The garlic confit and herb butter really made this dish sing without adding too many calories.
We definitely could have eaten more shrimp and would love for the seafood portions to be larger.
Chicken Breast with Za’atar Broccoli, Cauliflower, and Crispy Garbanzo Beans with Lemon-Tahini Dressing
Finally, the Chicken with Za’atar broccoli, cauliflower, and chickpeas. This recipe was easy to make and came together in 15 min as promised. The portion size of each chicken breast was a good amount and we enjoyed the lemon tahini sauce that accompanied the dish.
We did have an issue with the broccoli as it became mushy while in the fridge for 2 days so we supplemented with broccoli that we had on hand. The chickpeas were crunchy adding a nice texture to the dish. Get coupons >>

Gobble Lean & Clean Meals Review: Packaging, Quality, and Quantity of Ingredients
All of our ingredients were fresh upon arrival and no ingredients were missing.
There was an issue with one of the packages of salmon in transit and it leaked in the box, though it was still cold upon arrival and fine to eat.
The serving size was fine-to-small for 2 adults without any leftovers.
If you have a big appetite you may want to supplement dinners with a salad or additional side. Gobble sources ingredients from local farmers and specialty purveyors ensuring quality and helping to support their community.
The box, paper inside, and plastic ingredient bottles are all recyclable. The empty ice packs, cool pouch, and plastic bags we can not recycle or reuse in our area, but Gobble recommends taking the plastic bags to stores that recycle plastic shopping bags.
I would be happy to have all of my ingredients in 1 bag or no bag at all versus all of the individual plastic bags reducing waste and potentially reducing costs.
Gobble Lean & Clean Meals Review: Ease of Instructions
Instructions were easy to follow and the skill level required, in our opinion, would be entry-level.
The recipes require minimal chopping and only 1 or 2 pans staying consistent with the messaging from Gobble that meals are easy to make and only take around 15 min.
The step-by-step instructions walk you through exactly what to do and, for us, the recipes only took 15 min.
Gobble cuts down cooking time by sending premade sauces for their regular dinners and for their Lean & Clean dinners the sauce is minimized to cut back on the calories, but still adds to the flavor.
Gobble Lean & Clean Review: Bottom Line
We are a Gobble-loving family and have enjoyed their regular meals for years and will now add the Lean & Clean meals to our order.
We love the ability to mix and match lower-calorie dinners with regular dinners or add breakfast or lunch, to meet the needs of our family. We also appreciate that all recipes require minimal effort and allow us to spend quality time together while eating a home-cooked meal.
We would definitely recommend Gobble Lean & Clean meals to anyone looking for an easy, convenient healthy meal solution.
