We were excited to dig into our Solid Gold Bakery Tower and did a family tasting to get multiple opinions on the treats.
Our favorite was the coffee cake. It was moist and tender on the inside with a crisp cinnamon and sugar crust on the outside. If this little cake is any indication of how the larger cakes taste, I’m sure that they will be amazing.
Our second favorite treats were the brownies and the hazelnut chocolates. The brownies, which come in four flavors were all rich and fudgy. There was little difference between the four, one was plain, one had crunchy nuts, one had an oreo topping that added a creamy sweetness, and one was a marbled cheesecake with a little creaminess on top.
The hazelnut chocolates melted in your mouth good and everything you want from a little taste of chocolate.
Finally, our least favorite was the cookies. Overall we found them to be on the sweet side and nothing special, though the Ginger Molasses stood out among the four flavors as the best and was tender and flavorful. The oatmeal raisin, chocolate chip, and snickerdoodle were all a little too sweet and the butter pecan was both too sweet and tasted dry. SHOP NOW >>
