All of the Proper Good soups come in a box with little to no packaging and are sealed in a single-serving plastic pouch. The soup is shelf-stable and doesn’t need to be refrigerated until opened.

Read on for our full taste-test review of Proper Good soups and oatmeal.

Chicken Noodle Soup:   I enjoyed the pieces of white chicken breast, carrots, onions, and egg noodles in the bone broth base with lots of tasty herbs.  I also liked that this soup not only tasted good, but is high in protein and packed with vegetables.  Shop now >>

Southwest Chili: I wasn’t sure how this plant-based chili would taste with vegan meat crumbles, but I really enjoyed it!  I loved the beans, poblanos, and corn along with the peppers that gave it a little kick.

Red Pepper & Meatball Soup:  This was one of our favorites.  The broth was a rich, creamy red pepper and tomato with hints of herbs.  The mini meatballs tasted great and made for a filling lunch or a light dinner.  Shop now >>

Golden Lentil Dahl Curry:  Another favorite!  I loved the warm spices and the filling potatoes and lentils.  I also enjoyed the slightest kick of spice from the cumin.  I added a bit of salt and pepper and enjoyed this soup for lunch.

Cream of Chicken Soup:  I don’t usually like cream-based soups, but this one was lovely and not too heavy.  I really enjoyed the pieces of chicken and the hints of chive and garlic really elevated the flavor.

Apple Cinnamon Walnut Oatmeal:  I was very surprised with this oatmeal.  I loved the little stir-in topping pouch with apples, walnuts, and cinnamon that you add after you heat up the oatmeal.  I also love that this oatmeal only has 5 ingredients including Steel Cut Oats, Chia, Flax, Hemp seeds, and Coconut Oil and a rich, thick consistency.  For me, this was a very filling and tasty breakfast.  Shop now >>

Meatball Minestrone Soup:  The soup is also full of beef and pork meatballs, farro, kidney beans, and veggies and a thick, tomato, and bone broth base. The soup had a strong tomato flavor and was also packed with barley. There were a few mini meatballs in the soup that was quite tasty.

However, we would have loved a few more meatballs and a little less farro. The bowl was very full of farro which is delicious but overpowered the soup a little bit. It definitely tasted like a homemade soup that you could find in any grandma’s kitchen.  Shop now >>

Proper Good Soup Reviews: Bottom Line

proper good box-proper good soup reviews-mealfinds

Proper Good is a great source for healthy soups and meals. The soups are all made with nutritious ingredients and, with a range of unique flavors and options to fit most dietary needs, you will never tire of soup from Proper Good.

The subscription service will ensure that you never run out of tasty soup and the recycling program will help you feel good about your purchase.

We loved the clean ingredients that were put into every pouch and appreciated the care that Proper Good took toward making a great product. The soup definitely tasted homemade and high-quality, like something your grandma would make or a soup you would find in a restaurant. We also loved the free spoon that came with our soup!

And while Proper Good soup is more expensive than grocery store soup, we would consider this product more of a filling and hearty meal.  When compared to other prepared meal options, this soup is on the lower end of the price range.  We would also love to see a variety of soup sizes so we could feed the whole family soup.

I would recommend Proper Good to anyone soup lover out there. The pouches are easy to take with you on the go and the numerous flavors all sound amazing.  Shop now >>

Enjoy!
