What is Naked Wines?
NakedWines.com is a new way to support, shop, and try incredible wine from all over the world. Naked Wines funds independent winemakers, with help from its Angel members, giving them the money they need to create exceptional wine.
That wine then gets sent right to your door, giving you the best deal possible on unique and exclusive wine.
Naked Wines has an interesting membership concept. When you sign up, you become an “Angel” which is essentially an investor in independent wineries.
As an Angel, you contribute $40 or more to your Naked piggy bank each month. This money goes toward helping winemakers upfront and towards your purchase of exclusive wine at discounted prices. Winemakers use the funding to create interesting wines and have the freedom to invest in their craft without worry.
Best of all, you can spend your $40/investment anytime you’d like. It is essentially a credit on your account. The winemakers “borrow” the money and when you decide to use it, you can! If you ever decide that Naked Wines isn’t for you, you can withdraw any excess money you have in your piggy bank and unsubscribe, with no penalties at all.
Angels get access to exclusive wines, up to 60% off any order, free samples, and total flexibility in your order (wines, frequency, and quantity). Angels will also receive premium bottles of wine with each case ordered and the ability to connect with other Angels and talk about wine! You can also feel good knowing that your money is helping support hardworking winemakers. Get 6 Bottles for $34.99 + Free Shipping (no subscription needed)>>
How to Become a NakedWines.com Angel?
When you first sign up to become a Naked Wines Angel, you will go through a quick series of questions about wine and winemaking.
Then, you will receive a $100 voucher which is used toward your first 6 bottles of wine.
Choose between red, white, or a mixed box of wines for your first order.
After your initial, introductory box of wine, you can log on to your account and shop for more specialized wines suited to your tastes. Filter wines by type, country, style, and also by price. You can browse award-winning wines or try the Wine Genie which will suggest wines just for you.
Wines start at around $8.99 per bottle, with Angel pricing, and go up from there. You must order 6, 9, or 12+ bottles.
Each time you receive wine, go onto your account and rate each bottle. This will give Naked Wines more information about what you like and match you to the perfect wines in the future.
Naked Wines delivers to most of the continental United States. They estimate that wine will be delivered in 1-4 business days except Ohio deliveries will take 8-10 days.

Naked Wines Reviews
For our Naked Wines reviews, we received six bottles of wine, a mix of both reds and whites.
The Arabella Reserve Chardonnay was a very light and fruity wine. There was no oaky taste that many chardonnay often has. The grapes are hand-harvested in South Africa and, thanks to Angel funding, processed at a discount by Stephen and Jamie de Wet.
Jean Pascal Lacaze Cabernet Sauvignon: Angel price $14.99
This Chilean cabernet was rich and fruity. It had a deep oaky spice and a very smooth finish. The winemaker sources the grapes from a 30-year-old vineyard in the Andes mountains.
The Matt Parish 2019 Pinot Noir is incredibly flavorful and light. It is a very easy red wine to drink thanks to the cherry and berry flavors. The hand harvest grapes are aged for 10 months in French oak.
This sauvignon blanc is almost too easy to drink. It is very fruity and has a wonderful citrus flavor. A glass of this Sauvignon blanc will quench your thirst and would be great when served with fish or a light salad. Enjoy this wine icy cold to really enjoy all the flavors.
Richard Bruno Clarksburg Petite Sirah 2018: Angel price $11.99
If you like rich, powerful red wines, then this petite Sirah is for you. It is oaky with a mix of berries in every bottle. The complex taste is thanks to winemaker Richard Bruno who uses angel funding to support a fourth-generation family farm.
Overall, we were pleasantly surprised by each wine in our box and feel that the NakedWines.com new customer offer is a great value! For just $39.99, which includes shipping, we received 6 bottles of high-quality wine.
The bottles we received had a retail value of $142.94 and if you purchased these same bottles in the Naked Wines wine shop as a member the price would be $78.94. That’s 55% OFF retail! SHOP NOW >>
Naked Wines Reviews: Bottom Line
Naked Wines is helping to fund winemakers across the country, giving them the freedom to create the wines they dream of. As an Angel investor, you not only help support these winemakers but you also get access to incredible wines at discounted prices. The more you buy and review, the better Nake Wines will be at matching you with your perfect wine. Delicious, unique wine will be sent right to your doorstep for you to enjoy with no commitments or monthly fees aside from the monthly investment to worry about.
We really love the idea of investing in winemakers and wineries. The idea that our money is helping create better, tastier wines is amazing. We also love the choices that Naked Wines offers and the discounts that come when you sign up to be a wine Angel. It is also fun to be a member of the Angel community and have a place to talk about wine.
We wish we could choose the wines that went into our first box of wine. It would have been nice if the mixed box had an even number of whites and reds as well (we got 2 whites, 4 reds). The initial discount is very nice but after that first $100 off, some of the wines are a little on the pricey side (over $15/bottle), even with the angel discount. With that said, you can easily get your $100 off voucher and enjoy 6 bottles of amazing wine for just $39.95 and cancel after your first shipment.
Compared to other “wine clubs”, NakedWines.com does require you to invest a certain amount per month, you are not locked into monthly deliveries and have full control over the wine you receive and when you receive it. And if you decide that you no longer want to invest and support small wineries they will refund ALL of the money left in your account.
We would recommend Naked Wines for anyone who is interested in exclusive, high-quality wines and for those who want a wine club type experience, but want to have more control over the wine that they receive and when they receive it. It is also perfect for people who want to be part of a wine community and support the craft of winemaking. Naked Wines is definitely an innovative wine club that almost any wine lover will enjoy!
