Kencko’s 100% organic single-serve smoothies are filled with the equivalent of 2.5 servings of fruit and vegetables giving you all of the nutritional benefits, like vitamins and fiber, from fresh produce in an easy and portable smoothie with no added sugar or chemicals.

These smoothies are also free of gluten and common allergens and easy to make (no blender required).

How does Kencko get 2.5 servings of fruit and vegetables in each smoothie packet while retaining the healthy stuff?

All of the organic fruits and vegetables are flash-frozen to retain the vitamins, minerals, fiber, carbohydrates, and protein, then slow-dried to remove water and to preserve taste and color, and finally blended in small batches along with spices to create the healthy smoothie flavors you see below.

Plus, the little packets are compostable!  This means less waste in our landfills and more love for our planet. SHOP NOW >>

Do Kencko smoothies taste good?

Yes!  Most of the Kencko smoothies that I’ve tried I really liked, but there are, of course, some that I didn’t.  It’s really up to your taste and we recommend reading the ingredient list before selecting your smoothies.

TIP:  I’ve found that if there is a spice, like cinnamon or ginger, you can definitely taste it.  So if you don’t like one of the spices you may want to avoid that particular flavor.

We have listed the flavors that we love below as well as some flavor surprises.

Best Kencko Smoothie Flavors

  • Purples, Reds, and Crimsons:  I love berries and all three of these smoothies are packed with a wonderful berry blend and fruity taste.  A nice surprise was the ginger in the “reds” and the cinnamon in the “crimsons”.  These are the BEST Kencko flavors and we will definitely order these again!
  • Peaches:  (limited edition flavor) FAVORITE! With the dominant flavor of peaches, sweetness from carrots, and tartness from rhubarb, this is a wonderful and unique flavor combination that we really enjoyed.
  • Beet Reds:  (limited edition flavor) We loved the beet berry flavor in this smoothie and hope it sticks around!
  • Golds: One of the first ingredients in the “golds” is cacao, i.e. chocolate, and we couldn’t believe how chocolatey this smoothie tasted.  Definitely save this one for an after-dinner treat!
  • Scarlets: The “scarlets” is a fun combination of tomato, apple, banana, spinach, dates, chia seeds, cayenne pepper, and kombucha.  We thought it tasted like a healthy alcohol-free bloody mary and would make a great addition to any Sunday brunch.
  • Greens:  As the name or color implies, the “greens” are filled with green veggies like spinach and kale.  I’m not a huge fan of the veggie-packed green smoothies (am I the only one who doesn’t like the taste of grass?), but with the addition of kiwi, pineapple, apple, banana, and ginger it was one of our favorites.  No grassy taste at all.
  • Sunny Guavas:  (limited edition flavor) The guava flavor really shines in this Vitamin C-packed smoothie along with mango and papaya.  It’s bright and refreshing and reminds me of sipping a tropical drink on the beach.
  • Pitaya Pinks:  (limited edition flavor)  FAVORITE!  This is like a tropical fruit punch in your mouth.  We loved the bright passionfruit, raspberry, and dragonfruit flavors and the gut-friendly fiber in this smoothie.
  • Tropical Blues:  (limited edition flavor)  Another tropical flavor that we loved with anti-inflammatory antioxidants and Vitamin C.  The banana and pineapple really come through in this smoothie along with a little apple, orange, and coconut water.

Worst Kencko Flavor

The only Kencko smoothie flavor that I absolutely would not recommend or order again is the Ultra Greens.  This smoothie has a strong grassy/kale taste and is very bitter and not sweet at all.

This smoothie tasted so bad that I couldn’t even drink it.

Are Kencko Smoothies Better with Water, Coconut Water, Milk, or Mylk?

We’ve only tried Kencko with water, but they do recommend adding your favorite chilled water, milk, or mylk.  On each smoothie packet, they have recommendations or you can check out their mixology page for more details.

Watch the how-to video below for details. SHOP NOW >>

How to Make a Kencko Smoothie in Less Than 1 Minute

Making a delicious Kencko smoothie is super easy and can be done in less than 1 minute.

Simply add your liquid up to the line on the Kencko bottle, add the smoothie powder into water or your favorite milk/mylk, and shake for 60 seconds for a quick and healthy breakfast, snack, or afternoon drink.

TIP:  Be sure to break up any clumps in your smoothie pouch before adding it to the shaker and shake your smoothies very well so that the freeze-dried fruits and veggies are able to dissolve into the liquid.

Are Kenkco Smoothies Worth it?

Yes!  Kencko smoothies are worth it!  For me, Kencko smoothies help me reach my daily goal of fruits and veggies and allow me to support a diverse gut microbiome by making it easy to consume the recommended 30+ plants each week.

In addition, they are super portable and easy to take with me to the gym, while traveling, or on the go.  I also love that the smoothies pouches are compostable.

I recommend buying the 60-packet box, which brings your smoothies down to $2.50/each.  That’s less than a cup of coffee at your local coffee shop!

Kencko Reviews: Fruit & Vegetable Gumdrops

Kencko has launched organic fruit and vegetable gumdrops that will satisfy your sweet tooth without refined sugars or artificial sweeteners.

Each gumdrop packet contains one (1) full serving of fruits and vegetables, plus 3.5g of gut-friendly fiber, and is under 100 calories.

These little gumdrops are vegan as Kencko has skipped the gelatin and instead used pectin, derived from citrus fruit, as the setting agent.  SHOP NOW >>

Kencko gumdrops come in four flavors including Berrylicious, Passionista, Gingerella, and Bananarama.

Our favorite is the Berrylicious as it packs a strawberry punch that this berry fanatic loves, followed by the Bananarama, which we found doesn’t actually have a strong banana taste and instead tastes more like an apple.

The Passionista was good as well but had a taste (maybe the turmeric?) that lingered.

And finally, the Gingerella has the spicy ginger taste that ginger lovers will go crazy for.  I’m not a fan of ginger so this one was a pass for me, but my husband loved them. SHOP NOW >>

Kencko Reviews: Free Chat With A Nutritionist

We all know that eating more fruits and veggies is good for us and that we should opt for a salad over pizza or strawberries over cupcakes, but knowing what to do and actually doing it is hard.  Sometimes we need a little support.

Kencko understands and has a registered dietician on staff that is available to offer free nutritional consultations to all active members.  You heard that right!  If you have an active subscription you can speak to a real live registered dietician and get advice on healthy food choices, weight loss, getting in shape, and more.

When you sign up you will receive an email from their Head of Nutrition explaining the service and how to access it.  SHOP NOW >>

Kencko Smoothies Reviews: Bottom Line

three smoothie packets on table-kencko reviews-mealfinds

Kencko delivers 100% organic, shelf-stable, single-serve smoothies and bowls filled with the equivalent of 2.5-4 servings of fruit and vegetables directly to your door.

And with over 15 smoothie flavors and 5 bowl flavors to choose from, each giving you all of the nutritional benefits, like vitamins and fiber, from fresh produce in an easy and portable packet with no added sugar or chemicals, you will never get bored.

We love that Kencko smoothies are organic, healthy, and full of all-natural fruits and vegetables without anything artificial.  We also love that they are just $2.49 and can be made in under 1 min, stored in your kitchen cabinet because they are shelf-stable, and clean up is a breeze with the dishwasher-safe shaker bottle.

These smoothies are less expensive compared to many of the smoothie alternatives on the market (or your morning cup of coffee), but they are less filling compared to traditional smoothies made with whole ingredients, fresh or frozen, and I wouldn’t recommend them as a meal replacement.  They are however great for a morning or afternoon snack or in addition to your morning breakfast.

I recommend Kencko to anyone looking to boost their intake of organic fruits and vegetables, those looking for a healthy snack or breakfast, or anyone looking for a portable on-the-go smoothie or meal option.  SHOP NOW >>

Enjoy!
