If you are new to loose leaf tea it may seem a bit overwhelming, but it’s really simple and totally worth the extra time!

To brew the perfect cup of loose leaf tea, follow the brewing instructions on the tea can. Using your new Hot Cinnamon Spice loose leaf tea and perfect teaspoon, scoop 1 teaspoon of tea into the fine mesh strainer and hang it over your teacup/mug.

The Hot Cinnamon Spice tea has a very strong aroma. When you open the container you are hit with the smell of cinnamon and cloves and can see pieces of cinnamon bark and orange peel covered in cinnamon dust inside. The smell reminded me of Big Red gum 🙂
I was a little worried that this tea would taste as strong as it smelled and have an overpowering cinnamon flavor. The Hot Cinnamon Spice tea is medium-bodied and I expected a medium brown tea when brewed.
With the “perfect” teaspoon and fine mesh infuser included in this Finest Tea Starter Kit, brewing a cup of tea was easy.
To my delight, when I brewed my first cup the house filled with the smell of these warm spices and as I took my first sip I tasted a sweetness with only a hint of cinnamon and clove.
This black tea is much sweeter (sweetened naturally – no added sugar) than I expected and is the perfect afternoon pick-me-up or for those who can drink caffeine after dinner, this is the perfect sweet treat.
